Young Creators' Lab

Young Creators' Lab is a FREE youth arts program for teens entering Grade 9 through to graduating high school in 2024, inviting young artists to explore different forms of creativity, led by leading professionals in acting, singing, dancing and writing. 

The Young Creators' Lab program is generously supported by Neville Austin. The Young Creators' Lab runs during the Toronto Fringe Festival (July 3-14th).
 

FULL PROGRAM

  •  5 sessions of training with leading theatre, music, and dance professionals from 12pm-4pm July 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 at the Tranzac (292 Brunswick Ave)
  • 1 free workshop day with access to rehearsal and creation space to build on projects created during the workshops from 12pm-4pm July 10
  • Optional performance opportunity for participants to showcase their work as part of the Youth Takeover event at the Tranzac on July 13 from 1pm-3pm

  • Clown workshop with Christel Bartelse (July 4, 12pm-3:3pm)
  • Songwriting workshop with T Thomason (July 5, 12pm-4pm)
  • Movement/Choreography with Uche Ama (July 6, 12pm-4pm)
  • Improv with Etan Muskat (July 8, 12pm-3pm)
  • Storytelling with Cole Alvis (July 9, 12pm-4pm)
  • Prep/Rehearsal for Youth Takeover event with Toronto Fringe staff (July 10, 12pm-4pm)


The Young Creators' Lab workshops each have space for up to 20 participants and participation is free.
