More about the show and company
We are Dos Mundos Theatre Company, based in Toronto. We are a group of queer POC emerging theatre artists. Snacey! Is our first production that will be premiering at Toronto Fringe Festival’s Kidfest this July!
Land acknowledgement
Dos Mundos Theatre Company would like to acknowledge the lands on which we rehearse and create and on which we will be performing. These lands are located on the traditional territory of Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Haudenosaunee, and the Wendat peoples. We are grateful for these lands that allow us to create art and tell stories and we acknowledge that these lands were stolen.
Content advice
Parental guidance advised Audience participation
Details of predators versus prey. Theatrical, light-hearted and comedic depiction of snake eating an animal and of a bunny's fur getting ripped off.
Audience participation details
Snacey asks audience questions and expects them to answer. Nothing more than that. No one will be asked to go onstage or perform.
Sensory description
This show contains puppetry. It is dialogue heavy, but there is also physical storytelling and movement. There are lighting shifts, mainly spotlights, colour, and setting atmosphere, but no strobe lighting! There are sounds throughout the piece, but no gunshots or gruesome sounds. The costume has many light colours and slight costume changes happen onstage, whenever the character "sheds". This piece can be enjoyed by deaf/hard of hearing people as well as sighted and/or blind/vision impaired people.
