Art is complicated. So are people. You know what isn't complicated? Theft. Or is it? See how complicated it can get when all three collide in Painting By Numbers, a new comedy of errors framed around a stolen painting.
Feelings are hurt, codes are switched, headlines are made, and will someone just tell the truth already?!

Come see the debut show of the Fresh Palette Theatre Company! Support emerging theatre and visual artists! Painting by Numbers will feature artwork from local artists in the show that you can support by participating in our silent auction!

Sensory description

There are sound effects of daily sounds such as phones ringing, doors locking. There are elevated sound cues such as a disembodied voice, and the sound of chattering reporters and pictures being taken. Then, there are musical cues in transitions between scenes that will involve instruments being played.

Lighting goes through many states, including mysterious and dark in moments, bright and well-lit in others.

Characters in this show are often in dialogue, but there is a high level of movement as well and physical interaction between characters that clarifies their ongoing relationships to one another. There is some stage combat in the play, including a scene with most of the cast near the end.
