It’s 2025 in Toronto. The vibes? Unstable. The future? Uncertain.

But in the middle of the chaos, Caroline and Anders meet and form an instant connection. Then she invites him to a party.

What follows is one night of big feelings, bad decisions, and unsolicited opinions on art, love, and late capitalism. Drinks are poured, friendships teeter on the edge of disaster, and someone (probably) trauma-dumps in the kitchen. ZEITGEIST is a sharp, existential reflection on what it means to be young in a world on fire.

Sensory description

The show begins with intense flashing projections and loud, pulsing music. The first section is set in a minimalist art gallery with neutral lighting and dialogue-driven scenes. A second high-energy projection sequence transitions into a warm, crowded house party. Lighting becomes softer and golden, with ambient noise and overlapping voices. A dynamic dance sequence follows, with vivid visuals, fast cuts, and loud music. Later, three scenes unfold simultaneously, with lighting and sound shifting focus between them. The final scenes are quieter and more intimate, with dim lighting and slower pacing.

The piece blends theatre, film, and movement in a high-energy, sensory-rich experience. It is dialogue-heavy, though some story is told through movement and visual design. Due to flashing lights and loud sound, it may not be suitable for those with sensory sensitivities. It is partially accessible for blind/vision-impaired audiences but not currently accessible for Deaf/hard of hearing audiences.
