Childhood by CHEAP WINE

Childhood by CHEAP WINE
Company
One East Productions
Writer & Performer
Jack Creaghan
Runtime
59 minutes

"Cheap Wine" is family. For real. As in two of them have the same parents and two have a marriage certificate. Which is fun, but also kind of weird! Try to figure out who is what to who, how much is based on real life, and if spending this much time together is healthy. AUDIENCE CHOICE AWARD at the 2025 Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival. Part sketch comedy, part unhinged autobiography, part inability to leave behind the hopes and fears of childhood.

Warning: This is a friendly family troupe, but not a family-friendly show.

This show was written, developed, and premiered in present-day Toronto, which is the territory of the Anishinaabe, the Haudenosaunee, the Huron-Wendat, and the Mississaugas of the Credit nations. We recognize the Dish With One Spoon covenant, and take responsibility in learning and practicing its message of mutual respect and sharing resources. We are grateful to live and work on this land, and acknowledge the multitude of ways we have benefited and continue to benefit as settlers on colonized land.
