Gender Sock Puppet Workshop

Sunday, October 22
1:00pm-4:15pm
Buddies in Bad Times Cabaret

Deconstruct gender, construct a puppet! Connecting to Something in the Water’s exploration of gender through a “horrible squid monster” we invite audience members to join us before the show to construct their own gender critter puppet. Have fun exploring what gender looks and feels like for you through socks, fabric, trinkets, buttons, and your own imagination. Make your own absurd creation of what gender is for you beyond a physical body and assumed gendered traits. A limited number of socks are available. Please feel free to BYOS (Bring Your Own Sock). Craft supplies provided.
