WHAT IS A COMMUNITY BOOSTER?
This four-day event will be a boost of energy, ideas, creativity, and friendship for those enduring an isolated pandemic winter. January 21 – 24, 2021. Learn more.
Call for artists: Digital Shorts
Six collectives (featuring ensembles of 2-4 performers) will be selected to create a 5 - 10 minute piece that will be filmed on the stage at the Jane Mallett Theatre.
Call for artists: Storytelling with Steam Whistle
Solo artists may apply to become one of our Steam Whistle Storytellers, to present a 10-15 minute performance that will be edited together into an at-home package for viewers, with a possible in-person event if public health allows.
A note to artists
If you are looking for information about Fringe applications (Lottery, Site-Specific, etc) for 2021, we are working hard to lock in some details for you. We should have more concrete information soon. Thank you for your understanding and patience.
Show your Fringe spirit all year by purchasing Fringe merch for yourself and all your friends! All merch proceeds go towards the operations of the Toronto Fringe, helping us keep the lights on and support indie artists.
Fringe Needs Your Help to Keep Going
When the Fringe is healthy, the indie arts community is healthy.
Vive la Fringe!
Our small but mighty team is hard at work planning for the future. The next festival may look and feel a bit different, but we are working to implement health and safety protocols to help our community flourish and connect in 2021.
Our mission is to be a platform for everyone to access, discover, and experiment with the arts. By valuing creative experiences, we contribute to a healthy arts economy and, ultimately, a thriving society. This year, we are doubling down on this mission and are committed to imagining a new future where the Fringe Movement is accessible to all. Learn more about our Values.
