More about the digital show experience
Location: Tita Power takes place on our gather.town platform and is located at the far west end of the map. When you first enter gather.town you will begin at the south end of the map. Walk north until you reach the fountain at the centre of the forest. Then, head east until you reach “Titaville”.
We at the Tita Collective are immigrants and members of the Filipin* diaspora, and we acknowledge that we are settlers on this land. We came here in search of better opportunities, which we have received. However we need to acknowledge that we are gathered on land that is not ours. The land that we as the Tita Collective has settled on, which is colonially known as Toronto, is the territory of the Haudenosonee, the Wendat, and Petun First Nations, and the Anishnaabe, including the Mississaugas of the Credit.
This land has been home to many other nations, named and unnamed since time immemorial. We acknowledge their role as stewards and protectors of this land, past, present and future.
