NEXT STAGE Content

In person? Online? What is the festival offering this year?

While orginally planned as a hybrid festival, The Next Stage Theatre Festival is now offering our orginal 2 digital shows real-time shows, and 2 digital on-demand shows available anytime, from wherever you are. Upcoming digital on-demand films of many of our previously planned live shows will become available soon!

If you have already purchased tickets to shows in the Theatre Series, your in-person tickets will be converted into on-demand tickets. You will receive an email confirmation once this conversion is complete, with instructions on how to access the show.

How do I add tickets to my pass?

Please note: Passes for the Full Festival are coming soon!

First, ensure you are logged in with your Fringe patron account (see above for step-by-step instructions).

You can add tickets to a Full Festival Pass,  or a Digital Series PassTo add tickets to your pass, navigate to each of the show pages, select the time and date of the performance you'd like to attend, then click the "Tickets" button. Proceed through the check out steps, ensuring that all tickets have changed to a $0 amount.

An On-Demand Ticket for either on-demand show (The Sunglasses Monologue  or Stories of a Dish) is used only to access the content of the corresponding show, and no other tickets can be added to it.

For more information about passes, click here.

You can also call 416-966-1062 ext. 0 during phone hours, and our patron services reps would be happy to book tickets on your pass over the phone.

I have a pass or on-demand ticket to Next Stage, but I can't see the on-demand show.

The two on-demand shows, The Sunglasses Monologue and Stories of a Dish, plus several filmed Theatre Series performances are (or will be) accessible with a Full Festival Pass, a Digital Series Pass, or their corresponding On-Demand Ticket.

If you have purchased one of these passes or on-demand tickets but can't see the on-demand content on the show page, first check that you logged in to the website. Think of it like Netflix - you can't watch a movie until you are signed in! See the FAQs above to learn how to log in.

If you have purchased for one of our filmed Theatre Series, double check its show page to see if there is a note on when it will be released. You can also sign up for our newsletter by scrolling to the very bottom of this page to be notified of all the film releases.

Our on-demand shows are also only available within the dates of the festival, Jan 19-30, 2022. Even if you have purchased a pass or on-demand ticket ahead of Next Stage, the content will only be available within the 12 days.

If you are still having trouble, please contact us at general@fringetoronto.com, by clicking the "Help" button in the bottom right corner of your screen, or call us at 416-966-1062 ext. 0 and we'd be happy to help.

Please note - the new digital offerings from the Theatre Series will be released in late January.

I TRIED TO PURCHASE A Pass BUT GOT AN ERROR THAT I "CANNOT RENEW SCHEME". WHAT DO I DO?

If you receive an error that reads "Customer cannot renew Scheme [NSTF Passes 2022] too soon to renew", that means you already have a pass of any kind attached to your Fringe account. If you would like to add a different pass to your account, please call us at 416-966-1062 ext. 0 and we can help you over the phone.

I'VE booked TICKETS TO A NEXT STAGE SHOW. NOW WHAT?

As above, digital on-demand performances will be available via your Fringe Account anytime during the festival. Digital real-time shows will take place wherever you are, at the schedule date/time of your chosen ticket.
