Recommender Grants for Theatre Creators
Again this year, Toronto Fringe is a recommender organization with the Ontario Arts Council. Recommenders are organizations authorized by OAC to receive applications, review them and make grant recommendations. OAC allocates a budget to each of the participating recommenders. RGTC grants fund individuals or ad hoc collectives of artists for the development of new theatrical work. You can request between $1,000 and $5,000 for your project.
How to apply:
Please read over all details on the Ontario Arts Council's website before applying and then apply via the OAC's applications portal, Nova. Please note: If you do not have one already, you will be asked to create a profile in Nova in order to access the application. Instructions for how to do this can be found on OAC's website via their Nova user guide.
