Runtime
60 minutes

This original sexy, dark folk musical tells the stories of three historical women who were accused of witchcraft in their time and are resurrected. Through the guidance of a divine prophecy, they come back to the modern world and become strippers. This piece focuses on Marie-Josephte's love story with Liam, a customer of the club, which is being challenged by the prejudices against sex work, her trauma by the patriarchy, and her higher purpose led by the Prophecy. May this adventure transcend you and make you feel your inner-magic! So mote it be.

More about the show and company

MoonChild Productions is a film production company that took the opportunity to bring its work around the di-stigmatisation of sex-work, freedom and healing to the stage. The witchy aesthetic is a way to bring the audience in a world of infinite possibilities. Take a look at MoonChild's film work on the website!

Land acknowledgement

MoonChild Productions wishes to acknowledge the land we stand upon at this time which helps nourish our work and be its home. For thousands of years it has been the traditional land of the Huron-Wendat, the Seneca, and the Mississaugas of the Credit. Today, this meeting place is still the home to many Indigenous people from across Turtle Island and we are beyond grateful to have the opportunity to work on this land.

Audience participation details

A few moments of interacting with the audience by seducing through talking, winking, smiling, perhaps sit on someone's lap asking before doing so, of course.

Sensory description

Lots of lighting cues, colorful, contrastful and sharp changes at times.
3/4 of the play is dialogue and a little bit of narration.
1/4 is musical numbers.
costumes are based around lingerie, but a bit more cover so my cast is comfortable moving around.
There is quite a bit of dancing that revolves around sexy, sensual but always meaningful and classy ;)
The sound of the show will not be amplified so I would probably say that a person who has a hard time hearing properly, would have a hard time hearing...
I think someone who is partially blind could still enjoy the show.
