Do you still have that tattered teddy bear you carried around everywhere, that work of art which adorned the fridge, or that super secret diary you poured all your teenage angst into? Blast From the Past presents... One Night Only, breathes new life into these cherished items we once held so dear.
Inspired by childhood show-and-tell, we journey back in time to when life was simpler. For one night only, real-life stories are shared on stage by a new engaging storyteller each night, and then reimagined into a completely unscripted improv comedy by some of Toronto’s best comedians.

More about the company
One-Eyed Duck Recording and Publishing has been producing theatre and concerts internationally since 1984. One of the first female lead recording and family production companies in Canada. Open trade roots to Asia and Europe for many Canadian performers. The Lead artist has a Juno nomination, a gold record, and multiple song writing awards. The company has produced shows for multiple Fringe Festivals since 1995, including, Edinburgh, Pittsburg, Melbourne, Hartford, Cincinnati, Tucson. This show was created by women, who wanted to provide a safe place for individuals to be re-inspired by their past, and connect nostalgic stories from their childhood to the present day. Members of our performing company are from all backgrounds and identities. Our focus is to bring that wholesome, childlike energy of "play" back to the stage each performance and we want our audience leaving feeling good.
Land acknowledgement
We would like to acknowledge that the land we are performing on in Tkarón:to: colonially known as Toronto, is the territory of the Anishnaabe, specifically the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, the Haudenosonee, the Wendat and Petun First Nations, and is home of Indigenous Metis and Inuit peoples from across Turtle Island. This land has been home to many nations, named and unnamed since time immemorial. We acknowledge the caretakers of this land and we stand in solidarity with them. In the spirit of the Dish with One Spoon Wampum, we recognize that stewardship is a shared responsibility of all those who reside on this territory. We are grateful to be able to live, learn, create, and share stories here at Native Earth Performing Arts & Aki Studio for The Toronto Fringe Festival.
