A full day of self-care to help you rebalance half way through the Fringe
Lunchtime Series: Workshop with Artists' Heath Centre
Join us for a free workshop focused on mental health and self care for artists led by the Artists' Heath Centre.
Stress and anxiety levels tend to be higher in artistic communities. Depression and anxiety stem from a combination of genetic vulnerability and "invalidating environments." Artists are especially prone to invalidating environments due to the competitive nature of their jobs, significant physical and emotional demands, vulnerability, often facing rejection, criticism and the feeling of always needing to be "on".
Sunset Yoga with Octopus Garden
Grab your mat and come down to the patio for a free, outdoor yoga class led by Octopus Garden. Every level of yogi welcome!
Performance by Tamyka Bullen performed in ASL
The story about the thirst of life. Tamyka Bullen visited Guyana to know her ancestors, but instead found something she didn't expect. She realized that to know herself is like needing water to feed her soul: liberation. She is the opposite of Mami Wata. Because Tamyka is not free like Mami Wata. Mami Wata has unconditional zest for life, and can risk it all to live everywhere freely.
