Access at Postscript
The Fringe Patio, housed in the Scadding Court hockey rink, is physically accessible for folks who use mobility devices via ramp. The patio itself has wide paths to allow for movement throughout the space though it can get quite busy. The surface throughout is concrete. Our patio bar has a lower counter on one side to make ordering easier. Our stage also features a ramp. There are different types of tables available with clearance. There is a universally accessible washroom available in the community centre main building. There are portapotties that are more accessible for some users as well.
We're doing our best to make our patio and the festival as a whole as inclusive and welcoming as possible. Nothing is perfect though! So, we really encourage feedback especially if there's something that you think that we could do better. It helps us improve. Please contact our Accessibility Coordinator at firstname.lastname@example.org with your thoughts and opinions.
SENSORY TOOLS ARE AVAILABLE TO BORROW from the Box Office
POSTSCRIPT can be a busy environment. That’s why we’re providing sensory tools for anyone that needs a little extra support processing all the hubbub. We hope that these may be useful calming and focusing tools so that the patio can be an enjoyable experience.
- Ear Muffs
- Ear Plugs
- Weighted Lap Pad
To borrow one or more items, simply ask at the Box Office. You’ll need to provide 1 piece of government-issued ID, which will be returned for the undamaged sensory kit items. We ask that you only take the items you need currently so that we can accommodate as many patrons as possible.
