"Rooted in Roux" is a solo audio play about an African American girl discovering the connection between food and her ancestral lineage. The story takes place in a multigenerational house. The protagonist’s grandparents combine cooking and oral history to preserve their cultural legacy, but when the roux burns, she uncovers hidden truths.
