Meet our fantastic part-time staff:

Executive Director, Kelly Straughan (ext. 224)

Kelly is the current Artistic Director of her own project based theatre company, Seventh Stage Theatre Productions. She was the Associate Artistic Director at Nightwood Theatre and was the Assistant Artistic Director at Tarragon Theatre from 2007-2010. Recent productions include directing The Rocky Horror Show at Sudbury Theatre Centre; Stockholm for Seventh Stage in association with Nightwood Theatre; As You Like It, The Lawyer’s Show Nightwood Theatre;  9 Parts of Desire for Seventh Stage. Kelly was recently shortlisted for the Gina Wilkinson Prize, the Pauline McGibbon Award and she holds a Masters in Theatre Directing from the University of British Columbia.

Managing Director, Lucy Eveleigh (ext. 223)

Lucy Eveleigh was the General Manager of the SummerWorks Performance Festival for 2012 & 2013. She has lived in Toronto, Montreal, London and Edinburgh and has worked at The Canadian Stage Company, Necessary Angel and TAPA. In Montreal she was the creator and artistic director of Zoofest, part of the Just For Laughs festival. In the UK she was the General Manager for Pleasance Theatre, located in London and responsible for festival operations at over 20 venues in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Lucy also works as a life coach and mentor. Lucy moved to Canada from the UK in 2001.

Communications Manager, Claire Wynveen (ext. 225)

Claire is a founding member of Litmus Theatre, which produced Brave New World in 2016, the Dora Award-winning Birth of Frankenstein in 2013 and indie hit Matchbox Macbeth in 2010 and 2011. As a playwright, Claire has created The Selkie of Kincardine and The Ghost Ship for Sundown Theatre in Kincardine, Ontario, and co-wrote Birth of Frankenstein. Claire holds an MFA in Acting from York University and an honours degree in Stage and Screen Studies from Queen’s University.
Favourite show: The World in Pictures by UK-based Forced Entertainment.

Cody McCallum, Development Manager (ext. 222)

Cody is an arts manager, dog lover and freelance theatre producer with experience in outreach, audience engagement and development. She holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Drama and Art History from Queen’s University, and is a graduate of the Humber College Arts Administration post-graduate program. She has worked for TIFF, the Luminato Festival, Canadian Stage, and the Thousand Islands Playhouse, and is currently the Associate Producer of Theatre Smash.

Sheree Spencer, Emerging Producer (ext. 226)

Sheree Spencer is a musician, theatre practitioner, arts administrator and event producer. She has worked in development and fundraising with The Toronto Symphony Orchestra, Venue Operations with TIFF and as the Outreach Coordinator of No Strings Theatre. She is the creator and producer of The Listening Party Series at Bampot Tea House and organizes pop-up flash mob dances throughout the city. She holds a BA in Music with a Double Minor in Theatre Performance and Environmental Science from McGill University.

Kevin Matthew Wong, Outreach Coordinator (ext. 226)

Kevin Matthew Wong is a theatre creator, musician, producer and environmentalist. He is the co-founder and artistic director of Broadleaf Theatre, a company that merges environmental activism and theatre praxis, and he currently serves as the Artistic Director Intern at Cahoots Theatre, through Theatre Ontario’s Professional Theatre Training Program.

Tessa Cernik, Fringe Club Producer

Tessa Cernik is a theatre producer and arts administrator, and very happy to be back as part of the Toronto Fringe family for the 2017 festival. She has spent the last three years in Vancouver completing a MA in medieval literature at UBC, and working for the Chan Centre for the Performing Arts and the North Vancouver Community Arts Council. Make sure to say hi when you see her running around the Fringe Club!

Dayna Goldhar, Concert Series Coordinator

Dayna is a musician, theatre lover and all-around music freak.  She is a soon-to-be graduate of Ryerson University’s Media Production program, where she has focused her studies in audio/music production and the music industry. She has a background in theatre and performance as well, as she attended Etobicoke School of the Arts for musical theatre. She is currently working as a music supervisor, placing music to various film, television and commercial projects.

Tom Arthur Davis, TENT Program Director

Tom Arthur Davis is the Artistic Director & co-founder of Pandemic Theatre, a Toronto-based theatre company with a mandate for socio-political work. He is also a Core Member of The Wrecking Ball, a co-founder of Collective Studio & Events Space, the former Youth Outreach Coordinator & Emerging Producer (also with the Fringe), and an avid supporter of the Oxford Comma.
