New Play Contest

 

 

The application deadline for the 2010 New Play Contest has now passed. Winners will be announced before the new year.

 

About the Fringe New Play Contest:                          

Rules and Regulations of the New play Contest:

• Plays must be a new, original work.

• Plays which have previously placed first, second or third place in the Fringe New Play Contest are not eligible.
• Plays must not have been previously produced however plays that have been workshopped are still eligible.
• The playwright may have received funding to create or workshop the play.
• Plays entered must have a performance time of 90 minutes or less.
• The contest is open to permanent residents of Canada.
• One application per playwright allowed.
• The winner must use the Fringe slot to produce the play that was submitted to the contest.

 

First Place: $1250 plus a spot in the 2010 Fringe and consultation from MacIDeas

Second Place: $200

Third Place: $100
